How it Works
IN MOST BUILDINGS, THE UTILITY SENDS A BILL TO EACH RESIDENT.
In our model, DaisyChain essentially replaces the utility inside your building, tracking usage and billing residents. This is called submetering, a standard practice in residential buildings. Residents continue to pay the same exact residential rate they would have paid the utility. It can’t be more. That’s the law.
THE UTILITY GENERATES A SINGLE BILL FOR THE BUILDING’S TOTAL USAGE.
DaisyChain pays this bill, which is calculated based on a lower, commercial rate. The difference between this lower commercial rate and the residential rate allows DaisyChain to pay for building upgrades while still operating profitably.
